Parkeroo Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Parkeroo collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Parkeroo you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Account information: your name, email address, and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store your password in readable form.
Listing information: the location (map coordinates), price, and description of driveways that Hosts choose to list. Listing locations are visible to other users on the map; that is the point of the Service, so only list a space whose location you are comfortable showing.
Booking information: which spaces you park in, when sessions start and end, and the amounts charged.
Device location: if you tap "My location", your browser asks your permission to share your current position, which we use only to center the map. We do not store your live location.
Payment and identity information: payments and Host identity verification are handled by Stripe. Your card number, bank details, and identity documents go directly to Stripe and are never stored on Parkeroo's servers. Stripe's privacy policy applies to that data.
2. How we use information
We use your information to operate the marketplace: showing listings on the map, connecting Drivers and Hosts, processing payments and payouts through Stripe, showing your booking history and earnings, preventing fraud and abuse, and providing support. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. What other users can see
Other users can see your first name as shown on your listings or bookings, your listing locations and descriptions if you are a Host, and ratings associated with listings. Other users cannot see your email address.
4. Service providers
We share data only with the services needed to run Parkeroo: Stripe (payments, payouts, identity verification), our database provider (Neon), and our hosting provider (Render). Map imagery is provided by OpenStreetMap; when the map loads, your browser requests map tiles from their servers like any website resource.
5. Data retention and deletion
We keep account and transaction records while your account is active and as needed for legal, tax, and dispute purposes. You can request deletion of your account and personal information by contacting us; we will delete or anonymize your data except where we are legally required to keep transaction records.
6. Security
Passwords are hashed, connections are encrypted (HTTPS), and payment data is handled entirely by Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, but we design the Service so that the most sensitive data never touches our servers.
7. Children
Parkeroo is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will close the account.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. Contact us and we will honor valid requests.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new date. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
